ALARUM: 'Eventuality' To Receive European Release
June 22, 2005Antipodean outfit ALARUM will finally get a European release for their highly praised "Eventuality" album on July 11 via Willowtip/Earache.
Having developed their technical/progressive style of jazz-fusion-influenced death/thrash metal to include a variety of styles over the past few years, ALARUM are now recognized as one of Australia's premier metal bands.
"Eventuality" was recorded through 2004 at Back Beach Studios with Theron Rennison and assistant Rick Luke. First launched consecutively to massive acclaim down under through MGM and Stateside on Willowtip Records in November of the same year, it now gets a full European release through Earache's Willowtip collaboration.
For their efforts throughout 2004, ALARUM cleaned up at the first Australian Kerrang Heavy Metal Awards in Canberra earlier this year, where they were honored in the Best Band, Best album ("Eventuality"),Best Bassist (Mark Palfreyman) and Best Drummer (Matt Racovalis) categories. Australian national station Triple J's "Full Metal Racket" show also had ALARUM at No. 1. Both presenter Andrew Haug and his listeners voted "Eventuality" the best Australian metal release of 2004.
ALARUM are currently preparing for tours, new video clip releases and writing has already begun for the band's hotly anticipated follow-up album.
